3/4 Inch Pop-Off Valve

CAT Pumps Pop-Off Valve 9940 is a compact safety device that protects pump systems from excessive pressure build-up. It is a backup to your primary pressure regulator, ensuring full pressure relief and optimal pump and system protection. This pop-off valve has a 3/4-inch NPT M inlet port. It handles a maximum pressure of 4000 PSI and a flow rate of 25 GPM. The cracking pressure can be adjusted to match your requirements. Installation:

• Mount the valve on the pump manifold's discharge port, opposite the primary pressure regulator. If this isn't possible, install it parallel to the high-pressure line before the primary regulator. Direct the bypass flow away from the system and into a visible location. Avoid returning the bypass flow to the reservoir or pump inlet.

Pressure Adjustment:

• Step 1: Turn the primary pressure regulator's adjusting barb counterclockwise to its lowest setting.
• Step 2: Secure the lock nut on the pop-off valve near the 3/4" NPT(M) inlet and position the O-ring. Adjust the barb to its maximum position, then slightly back it off.
• Step 3: With the system running, activate the downstream flow. Gradually increase system pressure by turning the primary regulator's adjusting barb clockwise to the desired level.
